Omexco Cobra

Snake patterns slide in this collection ...

Most items in the collection are printed on natural cork. The cork is manually removed from the bark of the cork oak and then cut into squares, which are glued to a metal backing. The squares are then sanded until they are perfectly smooth and flat, ready to be overprinted. Only the special craft occupation is involved in this elaborated manufacturing process.

The faded square motif, also printed on cork, is similar to reptile skin. The range is complemented by two-tone woven raffia elements as well as printed plains and reptile patterns on the non-woven backing.

Of all the colors, from the brown-black tiger snake, the white python, the green copper chameleon, the bark-brown lizards, the gray crocodile, the green water turtle to the spotted cobra, most are enhanced by a gold-silver glitter or copper, which has a reflective and shiny effect like sunshine on reptile skin.
